Clear scale-up roadmap from 1,000 to 10,000 t.p.a
Designed for real manufacturing environments: Our ingredients integrate into existing recipes and processes, reducing reformulation risk and avoiding the regulatory and consumer uncertainty associated with novel food technologies.
Operational maturity: Focussing on early regulatory clearance for a first product drove robust systems and a culture of food safety, supported by a defined corrective-action programme.
Built-to-scale: Our approach supports controlled capacity growth while maintaining quality, traceability and supply transparency. A long-term product roadmap of product and feedstock extension will deliver an 'infrastructure layer'/platform not just a single 'hero product'.
About Us
Turning underutilised crops into scalable food ingredients: We are a system-level B2B ingredient company optimising the chain from harvest through processing to deliver reliable, specification-grade ingredients at scale. We are not about "novel biology", "frontier alt-protein" or "lab grown"; we are focussed on a "stack thesis" of system economics + supply-chain pragmatism + circular economy + waste reduction. We deliver procurement-grade reliability + ingredient decarbonisation protected by a system-level "dual moat" (patent-protected upstream automation coupled with patent-filed side-stream processing).
Engineered to scale: We will scale by replicating proven, standardised modules rather than building monolithic plants. This reduces capital intensity, shortens commissioning time, and allows rapid learning before committing to expansion. Our system-level approach converts feedstock variability into margin through multi-SKU outputs and high utilisation, creating a cost advantage that compounds as volumes increase.
What this means: Lower execution risk, low regulatory exposure, superior capital efficiency, flexibility and responsiveness, extensive optionality and asymmetric upside. Our defensibility extends beyond the twin 'moats' to the aggregate of cost curve, yield and reliability from a first-mover advantage in integrating a complex system. We are the most reliable way to turn wasted vegetables into natural food-grade high-nutrition ingredients at scale. We intend to make sustainable, nutritious food unavoidable for procurement, and turn sustainability from a cost/compliance issue into a controllable input advantage.

Our mission
We transform the economics of brassica production for farmers and deliver healthy, nutritious, sustainable, non-allergenic proteins and fibre to food manufacturers.

Our operating philosophy
System-level change: Use integrated technology from harvest through processing to create value from previously nil-valued feedstocks that others cannot economically utilise.
Capital discipline: Replicate proven, standardised modules into multiple smaller lines, reducing scale-up risk, commissioning time, and capital intensity. Additional capital will be committed only once target unit economics, repeatable batch performance, and confirmed customer pull are achieved
Value maximisation: Maximise value per tonne of input by supporting multiple SKUs from a single process, using defined blending pathways to convert variability into margin and structured downgrade routes to ensure full utilisation. Our model is designed to maintain margins and utilisation under feedstock variability where fermentation systems incur write-offs.
Sequenced optionality: Exploit optionality through rapid learning and gated, sequential expansion into new products and feedstocks, committing capital only once defined technical and commercial criteria are met.
Commercial focus: Win on system-level cost, reliability, and flexibility across ingredient applications, rather than on single-product optimisation. As volumes increase, our cost advantage compounds through higher utilisation and broader blending optionality.
How we win in possible macro-scenarios

Our vision
We will deliver annual multi-kiloton scale protein and fibre production that will displace less sustainable ingredients and enable new categories of products, and in doing so sequester or avoid CO₂ equivalents at megaton scale.
Why this matters: UPP is not an ingredient innovation. It is food supply infrastructure. UPP was built to solve structural problems that large food and ingredient businesses face today - and that will intensify over the next decade:
Margin compression driven by ingredient commoditisation
Volatile and opaque agricultural inputs
Rising Scope 3 scrutiny from customers and regulators
Labour-dependent harvesting systems under increasing strain
Sustainability commitments without credible, auditable economics
UPP addresses these challenges at system level, not through a single product or short-term innovation cycle.
Supply Security + Cost Control
UPP provides direct control over feedstock, processing, and specification, reducing reliance on opaque global ingredient markets to deliver strategic value in the form of:
Improved input predictability for procurement teams
Reduced exposure to FX, logistics disruption, and geopolitical risk
Ingredient supply that can be localised, replicated, and scaled modularly
For large food manufacturers, this translates into greater resilience in cost of goods.
Demonstrable Sustainability
UPP’s sustainability credentials are embedded in operations:
Reduced Scope 3 emissions through localised processing
Conversion of waste streams into food-grade value
Auditable systems aligned with enterprise quality and food safety standards.
This allows buyers to:
Meet retailer and regulatory ESG requirements with credible evidence
Avoid reputational risk associated with unproven or speculative technologies
Link sustainability outcomes directly to economic performance
Low Integration Risk
UPP ingredients are designed to integrate into existing manufacturing environments:
Non-allergenic
Low-processed, clean-label
Drop-in formats compatible with existing recipes and equipment
This enables:
Immediate deployment
Minimal reformulation friction
Faster revenue impact
Optionality Beyond a Single Product or Category
While UPP begins with protein and fibre ingredients, the platform is inherently extensible:
Multiple SKUs from the same feedstock and extension to fermentation with a cost advantage
Applicability across food, pet food, and adjacent sectors
Embedded data and automation capabilities at the farm and processing level
This creates long-term option value without forcing near-term complexity.
A platform built to last
UPP has been designed to be quickly economically viable and scalable through disciplined, repeatable execution, and crucially, the missing layer between agriculture and food manufacturing - turning volatility, waste, and pressure into predictable value.
Capital-Efficient Capability
UPP’s system is designed for modular replication, not monolithic capital projects.
A proven operating platform
Faster deployment
Lower execution risk
This removes years of build-time and learning-curve risk.

Join our mission
We are a system-level ingredient company that converts underutilised crop side-streams into specification-grade ingredients at scale.
By optimising the entire chain from harvest through processing, we unlock feedstocks others cannot economically use and convert natural variability into margin through multi-SKU outputs and defined blending pathways.
Rather than betting on capital-intensive monolithic production facilities, we will scale by replicating proven, standardised modules, reducing risk, shortening commissioning time, and improving capital efficiency.
With safety certification imminent and active commercial shipments, we are 'built to win' on system-level cost, regulatory simplicity, reliability, flexibility and optionality across ingredient applications.
